Study Visit Sarajevo Bosnia and Hertzegovina April 2008 Theme: A region Emerging from Conflict. Europe Direct NI set up a week long programme for TADA Rural Commuity Network to Sarajevo to meet with a number of Bosnian, Serb ad Croat organisations to share expertise and knowledge as regions emerging from conflict. |

Study Visit Budapest Hungary April 2008 Theme: Cereal Production. Europe Direct NI arranged a study visit to Budapest for Thompson's Feeds, Belfast to look at cereal production. The group met with the Department of Agriculture and cereal advisors to explore cereal production and animal nutrition. The group also visited and toured a cereal mill producing a range of feeds. |

Ending Hate in our Communities Programme- 3rd-5th September, Lusty Beg Island Building community capacity to deal with bias, harassement and hate crimes. A programme developed by INCORE in association with the Center for the Prevention of Hate Violence (CPHV), an NGO based in the US. |
EU Languages Day 26 Sept 2008 St. Ciaráns College, Ballygawley celebrated International Languages day on 26th September 2008 with a week of activities. Language students completed projects and participated in competitions throughout the week. Year 11, 12, 13 &14 Irish language students went on a residential trip to Donegal Gaeltacht. While year 10, 11, 12, 13 & 14 French students attended a French play hosed by St. Josephs Grammar School Donaghmore. Included are pictures of our lucky winners and their language teachers, Mrs P. AGM Lisbon Portugal The AGM help in Lisbon provided an opportunity for 250 Europe Direct Offices from across Europe to come together to exchange ideas and knowledge on improving communication on European Elections towards different target audiences. An network fair was held to demonstrate the activities of various offices. |
