The first meeting of the Euro-Youth MediaLab was hosted by Europe Direct PACA, the coordinator of the project, in their offices in Puget-Théniers, France.
The purpose of the meeting was to agree the detail of how the project will be delivered over the two year term. The partners discussed the timeline and how the local groups would be facilitated to explore the key EU issues important to them in each of their regions.
Each local group would include 5 youth aged 13+ who would act as reporters to research topics and present their finding using multimedia. Their work would be shared locally as well as online with the 10 partnership regions.
Ideas were explored on how an online platform and social media would be used to disseminate the multimedia reports and connect the youth to discuss and share their ideas.
At the end of the project two conferences will be held in France and Sweden to showcase the tools produced and to present a guide to share the experiences of the project partners to help others set up similar groups across the EU.
Project partners from: Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Finland, Italy, Poland, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden and UL
